I very much like the idea of ‘Colours of the Month’ and your drawing with light: beautiful!

Thank you Johanna, I take so many photos it seems such a shame to not do something, however small, with them... so I shall pick my favourite’s each month and pop them here... 🙏🏽💛🍂

I love your style, an those diptychs/triptychs, Susie. I've recently lost my phojo, so you've inspired me to think about a different approach to taking and sharing our little "coloured squares". So glad to read that you're also self taught, as I am.

Hi Debs, apologies for my very late reply, I’m back at work and the days are simply manic at the moment so I’ve been a little absent everywhere and horribly lacking in creative inspiration too… I have about twenty posts unfinished because I’ve lost the thread of what I was saying so in the end opted for the easy way.,. Photos! I’m so happy you enjoyed them and even more delighted to have given you food for thought… I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I shall nip over to your publications and make sure I’ve missed nothing…🫣 have a good week xx

Painting pictures with words ... and making dreamy photographs with the light. This is a gorgeous post-Summer return, Susie. Love the images and your descriptions of the seasonal heat. I would say you are a photographer but no need to wrestle with the semantics. You take photographs ... excellent ones.

Belated thanks Barrie, I’ll take that! Looks like today just might be the last day of summer, we are on high alert for hail and wind tonight and would you believe, after all my grumbling, I feel such melancholy! We desperately need the rain though… Enjoy your week…

We woke to thunder and lightning and rain. It’s been oppressive today. JoJo cooked outside - our first ever sweetcorn - and got chased in by a quick downpour. I was making a winter relish. The seasons are a-changing

Beautiful, beautiful photos - so calm and dreamy (despite the extreme conditions the photographer was subjected to!) xx

Warm (hot even) thanks Venessa... we are still suffering unseasonably warm weather here, it is a battle to do anything at all creative.. I’m delighted you can see the calm xx

Oh my Susie, your words and visually captured moments spoke to my heart. I agree with everything you shared. Like you, I shoot what I feel. I believe not all stories are meant to be conveyed in words but rather felt. The magic of photography has the ability to expand, stir or consume our soul, hopefully be embraced and connected to the amazing universe we live in. Thank you! Love and hugs.

Thank you sweet soul, your words have made me smile and feel far more at ease with this letter. My original thoughts were that it may not be well received, after all this is a writing application but when those words won’t come (for whatever reason..) what better way to explain our connection to nature than with light and dark in a photograph? Bless your good heart and understanding always… hugs and love back xxxx

I’m struggling too Pipp, it takes me hours to get a post like this together, not at all like throwing a post with a quick caption on Instagram, which, I might add, I do less and less... there is a level of intelligence here that can’t be ignored, honestly feeling like a fraud but a fraud who can’t stop! I have so many ideas too, just not the time to put them in place...

Thanks ways lovely, enjoy the rest of your holidays xx
