Oh me too Lovely, I always feel there is so much to discover in the country we live in before venturing further... and of course that is so much better for our beautiful planet. 🌍xx
This sounds like me on the rare occasions that I can go away for a few days♡ I can so relate! But we have goats (we had sheep once, never again) and rhe goats need milking while we're away. It's always a bit complicated, and it's not unusual that something goes awry while we are gone. Has Grey Cat returned???
My animals are always the cause of immense stress when I’m away Jenny, mainly because they know me better than anyone and just as children would when they think they can get away with it, they play up! Thankfully, I am never too far away…
Yes… Grey Cat was missing for almost a month but she arrived one evening, without a care in the world and certainly no apologies for having worried us so looking healthier than ever. Thank goodness…
I had one goat, back when we lived in Ireland, one was enough! X
Thanks Barrie, Indeed... and it’s not as if I didn’t know, a first attempt in Ireland thwarted by constant rain turned us here... I said when we left, this will be easier, that was 20 years ago...
Will I ever learn..? Errr... not in this lifetime for sure..!
And would you believe, this year, I’m taking a second holiday, leaving tomorrow morning so now have all that on repeat...
Have a great day - 42c for us today - in the shade.!
Fabulous that you're having a second break, though I am exhausted thinking of the preparations in this heat! You ARE committed to the life! JoJo is Irish and we are always drawn to it ... but then we love Wales and Ireland too. But France is good. We are unlikely to have animals so it makes our smallholding life a lot easier. Have a fabulous second holiday. Stay cool
Your life is filled with richness and blessings, always moving full throttle. While I was reading, I found it difficult keeping up with you... lol! I’m so very happy that each year you have this gathering with your loved ones. A gift, perhaps a reward for the marathon you run each day. Love you for being YOU 🙏🏼💋♥️
I think you are perhaps the only person who may even be brave enough and strong enough to keep up darling… personally I think I’m the maddest woman alive but you can’t teach an old dog new tricks right?
Thank you for reading and for your eternal support - love and very over heated hugs always ♥️🤗
You have a very fascinating life and one we can only dream of for now. I envy the clutter you need to have cleaned up and the rest and joy you achieved during your break. I am going to live vicariously through you from now on. I hope you don't mind it.
Oh Lisha… I am so very happy to see you here. I will nip over to your letters in just a second!
I don’t mind at all, I only wish I could take your hand and those of your two beautiful girls and show you my life… it is hard though, often exhausting and always achieved in the least expensive way - I know you know that particular threadbare section of the tapestry already… but it is always with joy that I begin my day - I hope I can continue to share my days, albeit vicariously, with you. Courage ma belle… xxx
I like it when people don’t NEED a dozen far-away-holidays a year to be happy❣️

The lives we choose, eh?! Loved this writing; it transported me into the heart of the smallholding. Ours is a doddle in comparison!
