Susie, I can’t tell you what good reading this did me. Good upon good upon good. I was so close to letting my grumbling body get in the way of my fullest participation in life, today, and you have taken me by the shoulders and spun me 180 degrees. Thank you. The way you paint your world is so soothing. And the dialogue between you, Seth and the tree with not long left was so moving. So participatory. Again, thank you. So much love to you and your land. To the dove.

The grand oak! My Susie! You reminded me of a story my mom once told. Similar. A great spruce stood on the north side of my childhood home and she was fretting that it needed to come down to install ground solar panels. So she went to the tree and begged for her forgiveness, apologizing, thanking her for her good life. That night, a wind storm came up and lifted the tree rootball and all, out of the ground. Can you believe it? I’m sure you can. And your dear son someday will too. ❤️
